Veterans Land Board (VLB)
A Texas program that offers eligible veterans below-market loans for land, homes, and home improvements.
The Texas Veterans Land Board, part of the General Land Office, runs loan programs for eligible Texas veterans and military members, including land loans, home loans, and home-improvement loans, often at below-market rates. The programs are funded through state bonds rather than by a private lender.
The VLB programs are separate from the federal VA loan guaranty, though a veteran may use them together where eligible.
