Introduction
Pass Texas (“we,” “our,” or “Pass Texas”) provides Texas real estate exam preparation through our mobile app, website, calculators, cheat sheets, contact forms, email tools, and related study materials. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices you have.
Educational purpose and no guarantee. Pass Texas is an independent study aid built to help you prepare for the Texas real estate sales agent exam. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC), Pearson VUE, or any government agency, and we are not a substitute for the required pre-license courses. Our materials are for study and general information only and are not legal, tax, or professional advice. While we work hard to help candidates pass, we do not and cannot guarantee that you will pass the exam or obtain a license — results depend on your own preparation and the official testing authorities. Your use of the Service is governed by our Terms of Use, which include important disclaimers and limitations of liability.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create or use an account in the app, we may collect:
- Email address and authentication information.
- Name and email address if you sign in with Google or Apple.
- Account identifiers created by Firebase, Apple, Google, or our app.
You may be able to use some app features as a guest. Guest usage may be stored only on your device unless you create an account or choose to sync.
Study Data
As you use the app, we may collect or store study activity such as:
- Questions answered, selected answers, and results.
- Confidence ratings, bookmarked questions, notes, and preferences.
- Study session timing, streaks, practice exam scores, and readiness signals.
- Spaced repetition data, Math Coach progress, and settings such as exam date or study goals.
Calculator and Cheat Sheet Emails
If you ask us to email a calculator result, cheat sheet, formula sheet, or study resource, we collect the email address you enter and the information needed to send that email. This may include the calculator name, calculator URL, printable URL, saved result, calculation inputs and outputs, formula reminders, included exam-trap content, source page, IP address, browser or device information, referring page, email delivery status, and timestamps.
Contact Forms and Support
If you contact us, we collect the name, email address, message, and any details you provide. We may also collect IP address, browser or device information, referring page, timestamps, and delivery status to respond to the request, prevent spam, and keep a support record.
Website Analytics
Our website uses Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to help us understand traffic, page performance, referrals, and content usage. These tools may collect pages viewed, approximate location, browser and device information, referral source, event data, and identifiers stored in cookies or similar technologies.
In the mobile app, usage analytics are designed to be optional where the app provides that setting. If enabled, analytics may collect usage events such as which study modes are used so we can improve the app.
Purchase and Entitlement Data
Purchases are processed by app stores or payment providers. We do not receive full payment card details. We may receive purchase status, receipt identifiers, entitlement status, platform, region, and related transaction metadata needed to unlock paid features and support purchases.
Technical Data, Logs, and Crash Reports
We may collect device type, operating system, browser, app version, error logs, crash reports, diagnostic data, IP address, user agent, and timestamps to maintain security, prevent abuse, debug errors, and improve performance.
2. How We Use Information

3. How We Store Information
Local Storage
Some app study data may be stored locally on your device so the app can work offline.
Cloud Storage
If you create an account or use sync features, study data and account-related records may be stored in cloud services such as Firebase or Google Cloud Firestore so your progress can be restored or synced across devices.
Email and Support Records
Calculator email requests, contact submissions, and support messages may be stored in our database and email systems so we can deliver requested materials, respond to you, audit delivery, and prevent abuse.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The website may use cookies, local storage, pixels, tags, and similar technologies for analytics, security, preferences, performance, and service operation. Your browser may let you block or delete cookies, but some features may not work correctly without them.
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal. Pass Texas does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals because there is no consistent industry standard for how to interpret them.
6. Advertising, Selling, and Tracking
Pass Texas does not display third-party advertisements in the app or sell personal information for money. We do not work with data brokers. - In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing lists.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the Service, maintain records, respond to requests, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

10. Region-Specific Rights
California Residents
California residents may have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, sell, or share; request access to or deletion of personal information; correct inaccurate personal information; limit certain uses of sensitive personal information; opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; and not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights. We do not sell personal information for money and do not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
To exercise California privacy rights, contact us here. We aim to respond within 45 days, unless additional time is permitted by law.
European Union and United Kingdom Residents
If you are in the European Union or United Kingdom, our legal bases for processing personal information may include consent, performance of a contract, legitimate interests, and legal obligations. Examples include your consent for optional analytics or marketing communications, contract performance to provide the Service you requested, legitimate interests to operate, secure, and improve the Service, and legal obligations to comply with applicable law.
You may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, or object to processing of personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw consent and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Other U.S. States and Regions
Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and other places with privacy laws may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or opt out of certain uses of personal information. To exercise those rights, contact us here. We will respond as required by applicable law.

12. Notifications and Email
The app may request permission to send study reminders or other notifications. Notifications are optional and can be controlled through app settings or device settings.
We also send emails when you request a calculator result, cheat sheet, formula sheet, contact reply, support reply, or similar resource. You can ask us to stop sending optional promotional or study-sequence emails by contacting us. We may still send transactional emails directly related to a specific request you made.
13. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information, including HTTPS transmission, authentication controls, access controls, rate limiting, spam protections, and provider security tools. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
14. Processing Location
Pass Texas uses service providers that may process information in the United States or other countries. By using the Service, you understand that information may be processed where privacy laws differ from those in your location.
15. Automated Decision-Making
Pass Texas does not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on users. Readiness scores, quizzes, calculators, and practice assessments are educational tools that suggest study focus areas. They do not decide whether you are eligible for a license, certification, job, loan, transaction, or service.
16. Sensitive Information
Please do not send sensitive personal information through the contact form or calculator email tools. This includes Social Security numbers, payment card numbers, government ID numbers, health information, or confidential transaction documents unless we specifically request them through a secure channel.
17. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date shows when the policy was last revised. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
18. Contact Us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or want to make a privacy request, contact us here.
For privacy-specific questions, requests, or complaints, you may also email passtexasrealestate@gmail.com. We aim to respond to privacy requests within 30 days, unless a different response period is required or permitted by applicable law.
