SARA is the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act of 1986. It amended CERCLA, increased the focus on permanent remedies, and strengthened public participation and enforcement.
SARA Title III created the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act, or EPCRA, which supports chemical-emergency planning and public access to hazardous-chemical information.
