Asbestos
A fibrous mineral building material that creates serious health risk when disturbed fibers become airborne and are inhaled.
Asbestos was used in insulation, pipe wrap, floor materials, roofing, and textured finishes. Friable asbestos can be crumbled by hand pressure and is more likely to release airborne fibers.
Federal law does not create one universal asbestos form for every residential resale. Known asbestos can still be a material property condition under applicable disclosure law.
